The Department of Mathematics at Payyanur College has been a recognized research centre of Kannur University since 2005, demonstrating its commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The department boasts three research guides and extends guide-ship support to faculty from other colleges, fostering a collaborative research environment. The centre has a proud legacy of producing six Ph.D. graduates and currently supports four Ph.D. scholars in their research endeavours. Its research output is impressive, with numerous papers published in esteemed national and international journals, contributing significantly to the field of mathematics. Through its research initiatives, the department continues to push the boundaries of mathematical knowledge, solidifying its reputation as a hub for advanced mathematical research and scholarship.
