Department organized a one-day seminar on "Kavithayude Varthamanam." The event, inaugurated by Dr. Sabu Kottakkal, featured K.R. Tony as the chief guest. Discussions revolved around the contemporary relevance of poetry. Attendees, including scholars and students, delved into active discussion on the topic.

The Malayalam Department, in collaboration with other language departments of the college, hosted a one-day seminar on "Sahithyathile Nadodi Jeevithangal" as a part of Payyanur Sahithyotsavam in the seminar hall. Sri C.J. Kuttappan served as the chief guest, with talks by Dr. Y.V. Kannan on "Payyannur Paattile Payyannur" and Dr. A.S. Prasanth Krishnan on "Nadodi Eenangalum Cinema Gaanangalum." The seminar aimed to deepen understanding of regional narratives and their artistic representations.

A department alumni meet was held on December 2, 2023, at 10 PM in the Seminar Hall. The event featured speeches. The event celebrated the institution's legacy and strengthened alumni bonds, marking it as a memorable and inspiring occasion

Department hosted a talk on September 25, 2023, at 11 am in the seminar hall. Resource person Dr R.V.M Divakaran, Professor, Department of Malayalam Kerala Studies, University of Calicut deliberated on the topic, "Nalla Bhasha." Attendees engaged in discussions followed by the same.

On September 7, 2023, at 10 am, the Department of Malayalam hosted a talk titled, "Gaveshanathinte Reethishastram." Dr. Rafeeque Ibrahim, Assistant Professor, Kannur University, Paalaathadam Campus was the resource person. The event was well-received by faculty and students, fostering a deeper understanding of research methodologies in Malayalam literature.

On August 24, 2023, the Department of Malayalam organized "Puleenji-2023," a vibrant Onam celebration. It was held at 10 am in the Hindi Seminar Hall. The event featured traditional Onam festivities. Attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Onam.

As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the department organized a program titled "Prabhashanavum Prasnothariyum" on 11.08.23 at 11 am in the Hindi Seminar Hall. Sri Viju Nayarangadi delivered a talk on "E-kaaalathe Ithihasavaayana." Later, at 1:30 pm, participants engaged in a Ramayanam puzzle, enhancing their knowledge through interactive activities.
