PHYSICAL, ACADEMIC, AND SUPPORT FACILITIES –

The college has the following facilities/fixtures as special attractions in addition to the classrooms and other essential common amenities like laboratories, rest rooms, canteen, smart classrooms, playgrounds etc. In a vast campus area spread over 63.67 acres with 168724.24 sq. ft of built-up area, our institution has ensured state-of-the-art infrastructure provisions for teaching-learning, cultural and sports activities catering to the evolving needs of our diverse student category. The facilities are well maintained and are put to optimum use.
Library: The college has a library with around 60,000 books, journals, and
innumerable e-resources. The library also has an exclusive collection of podcast materials to support the print-disabled students.
Computer Lab: The computer lab provides an adequate space equipped with computers, software, and other resources, designed to provide hands-on experience and training in computer systems, programming, and software applications. The Computer Lab has 52 desktops with projection screen for presentations, and has a high-speed internet connectivity. It provides support for academic courses and research projects and focuses to develop the digital literacy and technical skills of the both the Students and the Staff.
Audio-Visual Centre: Audio Visual (AV) Centre is a provision equipped with technology and resources for creating, editing, and presenting audio-visual content. It provides support for academic courses and research projects, production of educational and promotional contents, development of digital media skills and literacy & access to specialized AV equipment and expertise.
Language Lab: Language Lab with 31 desktops and headsets equipped with language learning software and multimedia resources. Extending a strong support for language courses and language proficiency development, its aim is to develop self-directed language learning and practice, language assessment and testing, development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Women’s Hostel: A women’s hostel built with the financial aid from the UGC is functioning in the college. 90 girl students are accommodated in the hostel.
Co-operative Society & Store: A co-operative society that deals with the sale of various books and stationery and also having Xerox facilities is functioning within the campus. The society also offers loan facility to its members.
Auditorium: A fully-furnished 1000-seater auditorium is a proud possession of the college. All the major programmes are conducted here.
Multi Gym: A multi gym set up with the UGC aid is available in the college for fitness training.
Herbal Garden: A herbal garden of more than 300 species is maintained by the Department of Botany.
Johncy Vanam: A conservation garden having more than 50 endemic species found in the Western Ghats is maintained by the Department of Botany.
Medicinal Tree Conservation Garden: A garden that maintains over 100 species of medicinal trees is also maintained by the Department of Botany.
Butterfly Garden: A specially designed garden that provides a habitat for butterflies, with plants and features that attract and support these beautiful creatures. The Purpose is to attract and support local butterfly species, to provide a peaceful and educational space for visitors and to promote conservation and awareness about butterflies and their habitats.
History and Heritage Museum: A museum that preserves thematically-arranged pre-historic stone tools, replica of Harappan seals, megalithic monuments, agricultural implements, and other similar items of historical value is maintained by the Department of History.
Solar Power Plant: A 21.5 KV solar power generation system is operational in the college. It meets most of the power requirements of the institution.
Rainwater Harvest Ponds: A ferro cement rainwater harvest pond with 8.5-9 lakh litre capacity remains as an icon of water management on the campus.
Alumni Park: A park set up by the first batch BSc Mathematics alumni serves as the important centre for cultural interaction. The park is constructed in an eco-friendly way.
400-Metre Athletic Track and Football Field: A 400-metre athletic track with a football field inside was constructed in the college with UGC aid.
College Bus: Fully funded by the PTA, the bus was purchased in 2022. With a capacity of 50+ passengers, the college bus is used to transport Students and Staff between the campus and various off-campus locations. Students are also given concession while commuting for special events like Arts Festival, Sports-Games and other extracurricular activities.
