• Space research today consists of high-investment ventures and is a world that opens up infinite research opportunities for children, observed Sri. P. Kunhikrishnan, former Director of the Satish Dhawan Space Center.

He was speaking while inaugurating the ‘Outreach Program’ held at Kandankali Shenoy Memorial Government Higher Secondary School, organized as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Payyanur College.

He stated that children must acquire digital and soft skills to utilize the opportunities of the new world. He added that students coming forward with innovative ideas have endless possibilities in various fields of research.

The inaugural ceremony, held at the Shenoy Memorial Government Higher Secondary School, was presided over by the Principal-in-Charge, Smt. Sreeja B.N.

Prof. Dr. V.M. Santhosh, Principal of Payyanur College, welcomed the gathering, and Sri. V. Upendra Shenoy, Chairman of the Outreach Program, delivered the vote of thanks. Sri. K.K. Sureshkumar (President of Payyanur Educational Society), Sri. Pradeep P.P., Adv. Shashi Vattakkovval, Dr. Sudheesh K.M., and Dr. Prashanth P. also spoke at the event.

College authorities informed that as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, several such programs are being planned for schools and libraries in the nearby areas.
