The students and teachers of the department participated whole heartedly in the exhibition (Aureo 2015) organized as a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the college. The department's stall in the exhibition, titled Asymptotia, attracted math enthusiasts as well as the general public. The exhibition was divided into several areas focusing on different aspects of mathematics. There were separate stalls for posters, puzzles, math & matchsticks, geometrical charts, applied constructions, 2D-3D models, optical illusions to list a few. One unique and novel item of the exhibition was the geometrical incarnation of Alice in Wonderland based on Lewis Carroll's famous novel. Asymptotia was an exhilarating experience of creative learning, working together and sharing of ideas for both teachers and students. Mr. Aswin I C, Secretary, Mathematics Association did a commendable job in coordinating the activities related to the exhibition.
